The GYTY53 optical cable features 250μm optical fiber sheathed in a loose tube made of high modulus material, filled with waterproof compound. The cable core centers around a metal reinforced core, with some cables requiring an additional polyethylene (PE) layer extruded outside this core. Loose tubes (and filler ropes) are twisted around the central reinforcing core to form a compact, round cable core, with gaps filled by water blocking materials. The structure includes a polyethylene inner sheath and double-sided plastic coated steel tape (PSP) longitudinally wrapped with a polyethylene outer sheath.

The loose tubes are stranded around the central strength member using SZ stranding technology, which alternates wrapping direction for optimal performance.
Steel-reinforced core provides both tensile strength and anti-buckling properties.
Optical fibers are housed in jelly-filled tubes made of industry-standard PBT material, color-coded for easy identification.
Filling compound between loose tubes and inner sheath provides comprehensive water protection.
Corrugated steel tape offers compression strength, crush resistance, rodent protection, and bullet resistance.
Black high-density polyethylene jacket extruded over the cable core and armor.
Each cable clearly displays manufacturer name, production year, cable/fiber type, length markings, and optional customer requirements.
